By Active 9yr old from Princeton, IL on 07/28/2008 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I thought these were going to be perfect for my son. However, we pushed, pulled and tugged to get them on his feet of which we weren't able. The opening just wasn't big enough and would not stretch.
How could the size be so wrong? By bmerk9 from Seattle, WA on 07/08/2008 Cons: Causes Blisters, Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Casual Wear, Everyday wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual, Trendsetter Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I already own 3 pair of Keen sandals the same size as these shoes, but these felt at least a half size or more too small. If I recommend this to a friend, I will caution them about the size discrepancy.
By Nature Gal from Monument, CO on 06/29/2008 Pros: Durable, Hey it's Keen Cons: Blister potential, Difficult Entry & Exit, Don't Breathe Well, Extremely short laces, Stiff but wil soften Best Uses: Athletics, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Outdoorsy Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Comments: I love Keen shoes. I own 8 different designs. I was surprised at the stiffness of this shoe and the lack of laces. Tough to get into, but feel better after use. Good support.
not for sensory-sensitive kids By Keen Mom from Freeport, Maine on 06/27/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Great Cushioning Cons: Bulky construction, Difficult Entry & Exit, Leather too stiff Best Uses: Casual Wear, Rugged playshoes Describe Yourself: Casual, Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Our whole family wears Keen shoes...the wide toe, great support and ruggedness makes us all fans. This one, though does not work for my son with sensory sensitivities: the leather is quite stiff, and where the tongue is stitched to the upper, the seam presses against the top of his foot. He couldn't stand having them on , as much as he wanted a new pair of Keens. We returned them.

Will pass on to several children, as the child will grow before they are worn out.
